Dear Friends,
It is that time of the year when we are contemplating the truth of the inspired word that “The word was made flesh and dwelt among us.” Apostle Paul under inspiration put it like this: “God was manifested in the Flesh” (John 1:14, 1 Timothy 3:16).
Why did He become flesh? God the Son became man in order to save His people from their sins (Matthew 1:21), to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). He came to save sinners (1 Timothy 1:15). My friend, I trust you can see clearly that man’s greatest problem is sin and if you have not come to Christ for salvation, I beseech you to come to Him. You saints, can you sing with the hymn writer, “My sin − O the bliss of this glorious thought, My sin − not in part but the whole, Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!”
May the Lord bless you as you meditate on why God the Son became Man. Have a blessed Christmas.
His by grace,
Pst Michael Maura.
