Thanks and Appreciation

Greetings in the name of our exalted Lord,

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who prayed for us during  my grandmother’s sickness for your words of sympathy and encouragement when she died.  God was good to us and we were able to clear all the hospital bills and ferried the body from Siaya District Hospital to our village.

For you who don’t  know  I was  brought  up by my paternal grandmother. I left our rural home when I was 15 years old.  I praise God for His providence which enabled me to and meet my grandmother few days before she felt ill. We were able to talk and I asked her the state of her soul and her answer was emphatic “ The Lord Jesus Christ is my only hope and she argued to continue  trusting Christ. She asked me to sing to her a  Luo song which says  “ Adier, adier awacho nu niya Yeso e yoo kendo en  engima ngato ok nodonj ka wuora maka kadhae eyoo”. Translate truly, truly I say unto you Jesus is the way and life, no one can go to the Father except  through me.

In the book of Acts chapter 17 verse 16 Paul was in Athens. His spirit was provoked within him when he saw that the city was given to idols. My spirit was also moved when I went to our village . Young people are given to  alcohol and school drop out is high. These young people are rowdy and have no respect for elders. The traditional  practices are rampant and one of our relatives remained behind  to perform them.  Another thing which I saw was a lack of sound biblical churches in the area. Please remember this village . God willing I will be visiting the area to distribute tracks and preach the gospel.

On my way back to Nairobi, I stayed over night with Pastor Sam Oluoch and his wife. I am very grateful for their  hospitality. I was encouraged when I saw the Grace Baptist  church building. Knowing very well that the church met for over four years in Pastor Oluoch's house. Getting land was not also easy, but our God is gracious and powerful. They now have their own place of meeting.

I have put some photos which I took randomly and Grace Baptist Church Kisumu. Anybody looking for a Reformed Baptist Church can go to Grace Baptist Church it is about 100 meters from car wash  stage.

God bless you all.
